Workforce Development Programs
West Virginia residents may be eligible for workforce development funding through state and local agencies designed to help individuals gain career-ready skills.
- WV Workforce Development — funding for eligible displaced workers
- WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act) grants

WV Rehabilitation Services
West Virginia Rehabilitation Services (WVRS) provides vocational rehabilitation funding to help individuals with disabilities prepare for, obtain, and maintain employment — including careers in cosmetology.
- Available to individuals with physical, mental, or learning disabilities
- May cover tuition, books, supplies, and other training costs
