Enrolling at Smith Academy of Salon Professionals is simple. Our admissions team is here to walk you through every step — from choosing your program to getting your funding in place.
Our programs follow a hybrid model: half of your required hours are completed virtually, on your own schedule, covering theory — bookwork, lecture, and shadowing. The remaining half is completed in person at our Huntington, WV campus as practical instruction, where you'll work hands-on with mannequins and real clients under the supervision of a licensed instructor.

Our Programs
West Virginia residents — hybrid virtual theory & in-person practical classes at our Huntington, WV campus
Cosmetology
900 hours of virtual theory — bookwork, lecture, and shadowing — completed on your own schedule, plus 900 hours of in-person practical training on mannequins and clients under a licensed instructor. Includes complementary education on hair extensions through SASextensions.com.
Hairstyling
500 hours of virtual theory covering cutting, coloring, and styling fundamentals, plus 500 hours of hands-on practical instruction at our Huntington, WV campus. Includes complementary education on hair extensions through SASextensions.com.
Esthetics
300 hours of virtual theory in skincare science, facials, and waxing, plus 300 hours of in-person practical training on real clients under licensed instructor supervision.
Nail Technology
200 hours of virtual theory covering nail care, enhancements, and nail art, plus 200 hours of hands-on practical instruction at our campus.
